Delft Academic Press is the publishing department of the VSSD, the student union in Delft, the Netherlands.
Delft Academic Press publishes textbooks intended for higher technical education and exact sciences in Dutch and English. The VSSD has published textbooks under the name DUM during the '80s and '90s. Until 2005 the VSSD books were published under the flag of the Delft University Press which was part of the Library of the Delft University of Technology.
The publishing company started as a foundation on study manuals in 1905 when the "Technische Hogeschool Delft" was founded on the preceding Delft Polytechnical school. Most of our titles are from professors and lecturers of the Delft University of Technology but in the course of time more authors of other institutes in the Netherlands and even abroad became involved in our publications.
